Well, on Monday Koeln made their comeback to the Bundesliga clear and the
whole Area of Cologne celebrated it for days. And the players - how much
have they drunken? Well, thinking about the people from Koeln, where I lived
for a while, I guess a lot. Reporters have seen most of the players the
whole night long on Mondays in the pubs, others on the night to Wednesday as
well. Tired?
But all the pressure is now away from their shoulders, they can prove now,
why they are at the top of the table. Koeln-Coach Funkel announced, that
they now wanna get the title of Bundesliga2-Champion as well. But some of
the Koeln-Players won't be on the pitch again: Springer, Dwoorak and Iyodo
injured, Helbig is suspended - four important guys can be even for Köln too
many. When they promoted three years ago to the Bundesliga - also after the
30th round - they lost the next match at home (!) against Karlsruhe 1:2.
Freiburg, placed 2nd, needs these points more urgent than Koeln. Frankfurt,
Mainz and Fürth are all 5 points and more behind them, but anyway, Freiburg
can't afford to lose now again - 6 points, 2 wins, and promotion is save.
Freiburg can play with their best players on Friday, and well - they really
know how to play. Great offensive football, all players have brilliant
technical skills - but the big problem of SC Freiburg is: They always wanna
make goals like Maradonna or Pele - but the Gerd Müller, Van Nistelroy-Goals
are needed - well the two forwards of Freiburg would nowhere else play in
the front. One is a classical offensive midfielder (Guie-Mien), the other
one a brillian right-winger (Iashvili). Great georgian Levan Kobiashvili
comes back to the team, as well as the defenders Riether and Diarra -
without these three, Freiburg lost to Fürth 0:4.
Anyway, I see the homeadvantage for Freiburg, but they will have problems to
score against an always well organized defense from Cologne. 1 is a good
pick, but the odds are too low around actually. That's why I take medium

Well, Union Berlin plays from a save position, but won't give that match
away that easily today. Although Berlin has only lost one (!) of the last 10
matches, the critical media of the german capital is very angry about
Votava. They won 3 of the last 10, but drawed 6 times and there were a lot
of 0:0 among the results. Already fans wanted the coach to get fired. But
maybe they play a boring style, but hey, they play succesful. Frankfurt wasn
't able to find a way through the defense of Berlin last Friday and lost
important points.
Ahlen is fighting for staying in the league, but they have big problems at
the moment. It looks like as if the team has problems to realize, that only
fighting helps them at the moment. But are the able to score against a team,
where so many teams had problems so far??? Well, I have some doubts about
it, and I guess, coach Lorant is not the right person for a team, that plays
in the relegationzone. His method to motivate his players is oldfashioned
and rude. He never was popular among players. Velkoborsky - one of the best
from Ahlen - is suspended.

Bohemians are too experienced, to give this match that easily away. Although
their first four matches were rather disappointing (1-2-1), they have still
a chance to win at Waterford.
